My group was Noel R. and Elena S. We all worked equally on each part of the project. Whenever one of the partners were gone, we would pick up their work and get the rest of it done. I think overall we collaborated well to get the final product done. Personally I believe that there was no flaws in total.
The products that we created on the humanities side were a zine and a totalitarian regime presentation. The book we read was fahrenheit 451 and it was about a society ran by a totalitarian govt. For my groups zine we decided to do american immigration just because its a top topic all of social media right now. Each person in our group wrote something contradicting to the other writing. I think the final draft of the zine came out really well. For our regime we got the 1920's-1940's Italy regime led by Benito Mussolini. We had to do lots of researching and writing on our presentations. Once finished we presented the presentation to any audience that came up to our booth.
In physics we learned about phase diagrams and what they meant. Pretty much in a short summary its a graph of how something goes from solid to liquid to vapor. We had to relate characters from fahrenheit 451 to a solid about to approach absolute zero, changing state, and vaporizing(pretty much as free as could be). For approaching absolute zero I chose Mildred, a wife to guy Montag, she cares for nothing but tv and is controlled by the govt. For changing state I chose Guy Montag because, at the beginning he was almost fully controlled by the govt. But then came this girl named Clarisse. She freed up his mind and set him free. For vaporization I chose Clarisse because from day one she wasn't controlled by anything. She was as free as could be.
In engineering we made Stirling engines. I learned that they are one of the most efficient engines. The one tough thing about them is that they are hard to speed up and slow down. It was a long a drawn out process to create them. I was glad how ours came out even though I would've liked it to be more perfected.
All of our final products were very appealing and presentable. I think all the products came out really great. I felt good about how much I contributed to the group. I think we all pitched in equal amounts of work into every product. If I had to give myself a letter grade for overall learning I'd give myself an A, because I didn't go above and beyond all expectations, I did the right amount. I think my research skills before were a lot weaker, but now after learning on what a good site is I am able to find the needle in the hay stack a lot easier and quicker. I need growth in engineering just because I kind of just did the basics and I didn't go the full nine yards. I would like to do the full 9 yards next project.
